Invader Zim

Zim and Gir, without and with 'disguises.'

I've recently fell in love with a holoseries called Invader Zim. It's a 20th century "cartoon," and rather meaningless, but comes out of their fascination with space and the future, but it's quite funny and I love it.

The story revolves around a small 'Irkin' invader named Zim who comes to conquer Earth, but whose superiors are really trying to get rid of him. Humanity seems not to care or notice, except for one human named Dib:

And of course, Zim has his minion, named Gir- who is actually made out of spare parts and doesn't funtion normally- to my extreme amusement, actually.

The most amazing tops

I was recently browsing through the repicator catalog for some new shoreleave clothing and found these- aren't they amazing?

I'm going to have to post links, as the pictures alone are not working.

These are some of the best-

My Hair

As some of you may know, (my first officer and a few of my friends, definatly) I've been having some trouble finding a hairstyle that fits me, but is still regulation. After a while of debating, I have finally decided at least on a style. It's modeled after my good friend and co-worker Vice Admiral Janeway, right after she returned from the Delta Quadrant. What do you all think? I'd like to have some input that will be honest with me- and not trying to suck up to their captain.

My Family

As many of you know, I've been able to spend a few weeks with my family on shore leave. It really does feel like coming home- and it really is. I was born in this house and spend 4 years of my earliest life here. I also dearly love my family and when more and more of us are in one place and a time, the more....interesting...life gets with that many people of the same genes. It's fantastic and I really don't want to leave.

Breaking Dawn

I finally received the file for the final Twilight book, Breaking Dawn, on stardate 53584.69 when we stopped at starbase 325 for a modification to the Vlinder's sheilds.

AND IT WAS FANTASTIC! It was everything I'd hoped for, and then some. And, it's the end of the series- which means that the entire saga became much better. If the author had "pulled a Disney" and dragged the story on and on, they would have all become much worse. However, since she ended them with a finality, they all, as I said, became much more enjoyable. Great job, Ms. Meyer!

And enjoy them, everyone else.

'EFY'

This past week I was at another training session, called EFY. I had a fantastic time and so did everyone else involved, and our individual group (called Believeth) and our two counselors all became very close friends.

One of our counselors, playing a flute....with his nose.

Our girls getting ready for the Tuesday Night Dance

Our counselor, Hoody, taking a nap while we prepared our banner and cheer.

Games Night was fantastic, but the Klingons won.....unsuprising.

Then at Pizza Night things got a little crazy.

My friend, Jandi, (on the left) and I both ate two JalepeƱos, and then felt rather ill afterwards.

We also then called a group of boys and had a question-and-answer session.

We had a great time- and since it was the group of our counselor's boyfriend, we held her down for some of the questions.

We also thought our male counselor looked like a 'Secret Agent' of the 22nd century.

Connor, Alyssa, Me, Nick and Ryan.

Alyssa, Me, and Jandi

Nick and Ryan- both very funny people.

We stuck stickers all over Lacey's face.

We also knitted hats as a service project- I was very proud of the one I did.

We straightened Nick's hair for the Friday Night Dance- and had almost too much fun with it.
